Expert legal advice and representation

If you have been injured in a car accident or motorbike accident or while cycling or as a pedestrian and the accident was not your fault, you could be entitled to a compensation payment. We represent people who have suffered a wide range of injuries, from whiplash to catastrophic injury.
At Taylor Law we understand how difficult life can be following a road traffic accident as you try to cope with the pain and suffering caused by your injuries, possible changes to your lifestyle and the stress of bringing a legal case. We aim to make the process of obtaining compensation as easy for
you as possible.
We will stay by your side throughout, offering support, ensuring you have updates as to progress and making sure we are available to speak to you to answer any questions you may have. We can represent you on a no win, no fee basis so that there is no cost to you of bringing a claim.

Making a legal claim following an accident on the road

It is advisable to seek legal representation as soon after your accident as possible. If you instruct us to act on your behalf, we will start collecting evidence, to include a statement from you, straight away, while details of the incident are still fresh.
We will need to show that the accident was not your fault and that you suffered injury, trauma or loss as a result. We have a range of medical specialists who will be able to assess your injuries and prepare a report as well as expert barristers who will represent you, should the case go to court.
In many cases, personal injury claims are settled by the other side without the need for court proceedings. Initially we will contact the other side and ask whether they will admit liability for the accident. If they will, then we will negotiate on your behalf to obtain offers of settlement.

Obtaining compensation for an accident

The payment made to you following our accident will aim to compensate you for the pain and suffering as well as for actual monetary losses, such as loss of earnings.

Compensation can be made for any or all of the following:

  • Your physical injuries
  • Psychological and emotional damage caused by the accident and dealing with your injuries
  • Reduction in your quality of life
  • Loss of earnings and loss of earning capacity
  • Loss of a unique career or compensation for difficulties in finding a job
  • Expenses related to your injuries, such as health care costs and medical bills

If you believe that an accident was partly your fault, this does not mean that you cannot claim compensation, although it may be reduced to take into account any contributory negligence. You should seek legal advice to see if you have a valid claim.
