Our lawyers are experts

We believe that the key to our strength and our excellent track record of success is having solicitors with exceptional experience and in-depth knowledge in their fields. We take on complex cases and resolve difficult legal situations across a range of legal sectors, for both businesses and individuals.
Our director, Scott Taylor, has over 30 years’ experience in dealing with police law, civil claims, employment law, inquests and criminal law. We are one of only a few firms who specialise in representing clients at inquests.

We act extensively for the Police Federation of England and Wales on behalf of police officers, including in high profile cases.
Our team has been involved in ground-breaking cases, changing laws surrounding injury on duty pension awards and Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. Senior solicitor Mark Lake is one of the country’s leading specialists in police pension law, police ill-health, police medical appeals board
cases and injury on duty awards.

We also act for employers and employees across a wide range of other sectors, resolving disputes and dealing with all employment claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination and harassment.

Our criminal team has decades of experience and deals with all aspects of privately-funded criminal defence, from large organisations charged with breaching regulations, fraud and other corporate offences through to individuals charged with driving offences.
We offer in-depth will writing advice, including tax planning, trust creation, lasting powers of attorney and contesting wills. We also provide a probate service to deal with the administration of estates and winding-up of financial affairs after someone’s death.

Our focus is you

In dealing with your legal issues, we focus on finding the best outcome for you or your business. We do not look at problems in isolation, rather we work to find the best possible options for your situation as a whole.

We are skilled negotiators and we often work to resolve clients’ legal disputes by mutual agreement without recourse to the courts. This is not only cost-effective, but also time-efficient, allowing clients to put issues behind them and move on.

Exceptional service and value for money

Our service is outstanding and we make ourselves available to speak to our clients as needed. We work proactively to ensure that cases move forward and we will always keep you updated as to progress.

We make sure our costs are transparent and that you are aware of the likely fees involved from the outset.
A number of our solicitors have rights of higher audience, meaning they can represent clients directly in the High Court without the need for a barrister.
As well as being experts in their respective fields, our lawyers are understanding, approachable and open. You can rest assured that they will give you the advice, support and guidance you need throughout your case and that they will always have your best interests in mind when looking at your options.
