Wills & Probate Solicitor – Based out of any of our offices

Taylor Law are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wills and Probate solicitor.

The successful candidate will likely have something in the region of 6 year +s PQE, be able to work without supervision and will have had experience of the full range of private client work. Experience of contentious probate matters would be a distinct advantage, given that the firm currently enjoys a steady stream of that work from private clients and insurers.

We are happy to consider applications from solicitors who wish to work part time.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong technical ability, be comfortable in managing deadlines, be able to maintain accurate file management and billing practices and work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

We offer full flexibility. Candidates may work remotely, although given that most of our enquiries come from area surrounding our Stokesley office, the ideal candidate will be able to commute to that office as and when the need arises. We will provide the technology and support required to work effectively and to maintain client service standards, together with regular team engagement and professional development.

Criminal Defence Solicitor - Based out of any of our offices

Taylor Law are seeking a dedicated and skilled criminal and misconduct solicitor to join our expanding Criminal and Professional Discipline team. We are a well-established firm with a strong reputation in criminal and professional discipline matters. We are committed to providing high quality representation to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of criminal defence law and practice and will handle a varied and challenging caseload, representing clients in criminal and disciplinary matters.

The role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, advocate for clients at all stages of proceedings and contribute to the continued success of the firm. You will act for a range of institutional and individual clients (predominantly for police officers) in crime, discipline and judicial review matters. You will manage your own files with appropriate supervision and support.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in dealing with criminal cases. They must have experience in advising at the police station and advocacy experience will be a distinct advantage, as will experience in disciplinary work (although training in this area will be given to the right candidate.) The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong technical ability, be comfortable in managing deadlines, be able to maintain accurate file management and billing practices and work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

Civil Litigation Solicitor - Based out of any of our offices

Taylor Law are seeking a Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our well established and growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to handle a varied and interesting caseload within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will  have their own case-load advising and representing clients handling matters from initial instruction through to resolution dealing with Civil Litigation and Personal Injury cases.  You will act for a range of institutional and individual clients, including work for the Police Federation of England & Wales, representing officers in civil claims, judicial review, private client and insurers, and will manage your own files with appropriate supervision and support.

You will be expected to have a firm knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Employment Solicitor - Based out of any of our offices

Taylor Law are seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our growing Employment Law Department.  This is an excellent opportunity to handle a broad range of contentious and non- contentious employment matters in a supportive, hardworking and well-structured team, having the opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

The successful candidate will have their own case load advising and representing clients across the full spectrum of employment law, with a primary focus on claimant work complemented by a meaningful respondent caseload.  You will act for a range of institutional and individual clients, including work for the Police Federation of England & Wales , private client and insurers, and will manage your own files with appropriate supervision and support.

You will be expected to undertake advisory and litigation work, including but not limited to, unfair and wrongful dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, contractual disputes, pay and benefits, redundancy and reorganisation, disciplinary and grievance matters, employment status, and settlement agreements.

Experience of Employment Tribunal proceedings, including drafting and advocacy appropriate to your level, will be advantageous though not critical.
